How Can I Go On; Red Rose; The Soul Beat; I Am Free; Love Me With All Your Heart // Walk The Proud Land; Simple Way Of Living; Wait On Me; You Are Leaving; Go Away This album is sheer magic - I have loved it unconditionally ever since I first bought an early (maybe original) copy in 1982. I love its little idiosyncracies - the vocals sound like they were recorded in a different room to the microphone; the cover is the wrong way round (looking at the front the opening is on the left); and there are only 10 tracks instead of the 12 listed on the sleeve (see below for the missing titles) . Every track is a joy - one of my all-time favourite LPs.

Piculiar Man; How Can I Go On; Red Rose; The Soul Beat; I Am Free; Love Me With All Your Heart // Walk The Proud Land; Simple Way Of Living; Wait On Me; You Are Leaving; Go Away; She Cryed Jamiacan repress, originally released on the UK blue Coxsone label as ROCK STEADY in 1967. Twelve tracks as promised, including Piculiar Man and She Cryed. Copies issued on the familiar red and yellow label date from 1984. Both editions were released in a silk screen sleeve.

14 track CD resissue with pristine sound quality (and clear vocals!) - what more could you ask for? The two extra tracks (She Want It and Joy In The Morning) are a welcome addition and fit very nicely into the track sequence (just don't believe the track list on the sleeve). There is some added instrumentation, but this does not detract from the feel of the original album (and is hardly noticeable). Possibly the best Studio One CD reissue, ever...
