There has been some confusion about the title of this album, which can also be found listed as CALYPSO SONGS ME MAMA NEVER TAUGHT ME. As usual, I have taken the title from the label rather than the sleeve. There is no artist credited on sleeve or label, but writing credits on the sleeve indicate Lord Creator as writer on 6 tracks and S. Francisco (aka Mighty Sparrow) as writer on 3 tracks. Mr Walker was released on a Studio One single in 1966 credited to Lord Creator, and Wreck A Pum Pum b/w Short Shorts, again credited to Lord Creator, appeared on a French Roulette label single in 1969.

This was Lord Creator's first album release, originally dating from 1964. It was subsequently re-issued in the early 1970s, and this is probably the version which is illustrated above.
