Straight CD reissue (...of the original release?) in pristine mono without overdubs, but without any extra tracks (surely an opportunity missed to include Happy Land and Let Me Love You).
CD reissue with four extra tracks. It may be somewhat disconcerting to hear new tracks (Be Mine & Never Let Go) interrupting a track sequence that is so familiar, but why quibble? The two instrumental additions feature Johnny Moore on trumpet, and Just Me and Love To Share are extended.

LOVE ME FOREVER1
Carlton & The Shoes (1978)
Studio One PSOL 003
matrix: PSOL-003-A1 // PSOL-003-B1
Love Me Forever; Never Give Your Heart Away; Love Is All; Sincerely Yours; Just Me // This Feelings; I've Got Soul; Love To Share; Me And You; Forward Jerusalem
Original UK issue with Peckings address on the label (with 1990s reissue label on the right). The matrix is handwritten, and the laminated sleeve is printed in England by Senol Printing Ltd. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
There are at least three different variations of this edition, all with the same matrix number and issued in the same sleeve (with the Peckings UK address on the rear, printed by Senol). In no particular order, they are:
1) a UK Peckings issue in mono; 2) a UK Peckings issue in split stereo with overdubs; 3) a JA issue in mono with overdubs.

Carlton & The Shoes (2001)
Studio One PSOCD003
Love Me Forever; Never Give Your Heart Away, Love Is All; Sincerely Yours; Just Me; This Feeling; I've Got Soul; Love To Share; Me And You; Forward Jerusalem
With multiple editions in a variety of different sonic formulations (conventional stereo, split stereo, mono, some with overdubs and some without overdubs) and with conflicting matrix numbers to complicate matters further, this is almost certainly the most convoluted Studio One release that I have attempted to document so far. Special thanks are due to Carl Finlay, Steve Brentford and François Delettrez who have provided valuable support and information to help me try to penetrate the fog of confusion that surrounds this lovely record. The task is undoubtedly not complete, so any further information about alternative releases and/or confirmation of dates of issue would be much appreciated.
LOVE ME FOREVER1
Carlton & The Shoes (1979)
Studio One PSOL 003
matrix: DB 115 A // DB 115 B
Love Me Forever; Never Give Your Heart Away, Love Is All; Sincerely Yours; Just Me // This Feelings; I've Got Soul; Love To Share; Me And You; Forward Jerusalem
Jamaican issue with some light overdubs. The sleeve is unlaminted and is printed by Speed-O-Graphics Printers Ltd., Kingston, Jamaica. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
The sleeve is a reproduction of the UK issue, including the Peckings UK address on the rear. It looks as though the Speed-O-Graphics Printers' credit has simply been pasted over the Senol text, which suggests that the UK edition came first. This pressing sounds slightly muddy in comparison with the UK issues.
LOVE ME FOREVER1
Carlton & The Shoes (c.1978)
Studio One PSOL 003
matrix: PSOL XXX // PSOL XXX 001 B-1
Love Me Forever; Never Give Your Heart Away, Love Is All; Sincerely Yours; Just Me // This Feelings; I've Got Soul; Love To Share; Me And You; Forward Jerusalem
UK issue in split-stereo (without overdubs). The laminated sleeve is printed and made in England by Senol Printing Ltd. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
Released in exactly the same sleeve as the UK PSOL 003 issue. The matrix is handwritten and has been altered with a scribbled-out number, and looks like PSOL XXX (scribbled out) on SIDE ONE and PSOL XXX 001 B-1 on SIDE TWO. The sound quality is excellent (if you like split stereo...).
LOVE ME FOREVER1
Carlton & The Shoes (1980s)
Studio One PSOL 003
matrix: SOL 1136 A // SOL 1136 B
Love Me Forever; Never Give Your Heart Away, Love Is All; Sincerely Yours; Just Me // This Feelings; I've Got Soul; Love To Share; Me And You; Forward Jerusalem
Jamaican/US remix in mono with different overdubs (including syndrums on some tracks). The matrix is handwritten, and the unlaminted sleeve is printed by Speed-O-Graphics Printers Ltd., Kingston, Jamaica. ((Click sleeve to enlarge.))
Released in the same sleeve as the DB 115 issue. The pressing quality is excellent (by Studio One standards), and the overdubs are subtle and unobtrusive. Probably the best sounding of the vinyl issues.
LOVE ME FOREVER2

10 track vinyl edition of the 14 track PSOCD003 release, omitting Me And You, Forward To Jersusalem and the two instrumental versions of Love Me Forever and You And Me. The titles listed on the sleeve and labels are incorrect.
